Google is seeking a Senior Security Engineer to manage security certification programs for custom silicon solutions. You'll work with embedded security and cryptography, ensuring compliance with standards like FIPS and Common Criteria. This role requires 10 years of experience in security certification and related fields.
You have a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, along with 10 years of experience in security certification, including FIPS, Common Criteria, SESIP, EMVco, and GP. Your background includes experience with hardware and software architecture, as well as technical program management. You are well-versed in the development and product life-cycle, particularly in embedded security and cryptography. You may hold a Common Criteria certification for a Secure IC or smartcard and have experience with FIPS140-3 certification for a crypto module (CMVP). Your knowledge extends to government and regulatory policies related to security, including familiarity with PP0084, CAVP, and CMPV requirements, as well as the SOGIS Application of Attack Potential to Smartcard and JIL Minimum Site Security Requirements (MSSR).
In this role, you will be part of a team that pushes boundaries, developing custom silicon solutions that power the future of Google's direct-to-consumer products. You will contribute to the innovation behind products loved by millions worldwide, shaping the next generation of hardware experiences that deliver unparalleled performance, efficiency, and integration. Your primary responsibility will be to identify the drivers for certification, such as business and regulatory needs, and manage security certification programs like Common Criteria and FIPS from start to finish. You will serve as the direct interface with the evaluation laboratory and the Certification Body, ensuring that all evidence and materials required for certification are provided on time. You will establish systems to identify improvements and drive future needs around security certification, discerning when changes are appropriate and managing them across the organization. Collaborating closely with partner teams, you will communicate changes in a minimally disruptive manner, putting systems and mechanisms in place to facilitate future changes.
