Overview

Datadog is hiring a Mid-Level Security Engineer to enhance the security of their systems and applications. You'll work with technologies like Security Service Edge and Data Loss Prevention while focusing on incident response and proactive security measures. This role is based in Paris with hybrid work options.

Who you are

You have a solid background in IT security, with experience in securing endpoints, applications, and networks — you've worked with various operating systems including macOS, Windows, and Linux, and understand the nuances of securing enterprise environments. You are familiar with enterprise SaaS platforms and have a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating security risks. You possess strong analytical skills and can perform comprehensive security gap assessments to improve security posture across multiple platforms. You are comfortable collaborating with cross-functional teams and have a knack for building integrations via APIs and automation to enhance security measures.

Desirable

Experience with incident response and managing security incidents is a plus — you understand the importance of quick and effective responses to security threats. Familiarity with tools like Datadog for incident detection and response will set you apart. You are also knowledgeable about emerging threats and are eager to implement new security controls to protect against them.

What you'll do

In this role, you will contribute to strengthening the security of Datadog's systems and applications by implementing, tuning, and operating various enterprise security solutions. You will perform security gap assessments and work on improving the security posture across multiple enterprise SaaS platforms, employee endpoints, and office networks. Your responsibilities will include integrating enterprise security platforms through automation and using the Datadog platform to enhance incident detection and response. You will collaborate with other teams to develop and implement new security controls, ensuring that Datadog's IT infrastructure remains secure against emerging threats. Additionally, you will respond to and manage security incidents, ensuring that the organization is prepared to handle any potential security breaches effectively.
