Job Description

Position Overview:

We are looking for a talented individual who will be building, supporting, and extending the functionality of Rust-based research tools critical to the success of our high-frequency business. This role requires prior experience in developing Linux-based high-performance computing applications using Rust or, if the candidate is not familiar with Rust, then C++ with a willingness to learn Rust. In order to maximize the throughput and minimize the latency in producing market-making data and trading simulations, the candidate must have intimate knowledge of how modern CPUs allocate, access, and read memory.

The candidate is expected to actively collaborate with other developers and researchers to add or enhance requested features and allow for fast iterations to improve trading systems. You will be confronted to cutting-edge problems for which you'll need to design proprietary solutions for a very competitive business.

Required qualifications:

  • Technical background with a strong CS component (Math, Physics, Engineering, CS)
  • Deep knowledge of one of C, C++, or Rust programming knowledge which goes beyond writing basic code
  • Looking for prior experience (professional or personal) in developing high performance systems (e.g. for performance sensitive applications such as video games)
  • Previous experience developing algorithms that make use of multithreading and SIMD
  • Working knowledge of computer architecture, computational graphs, and compilers

Nice to have:

  • Evidence of online contribution to open-source projects is a plus
  • Prior experience with XLA or MLIR is a plus

The minimum base salary for this role is $150,000 if located in New York. This expectation is based on available information at the time of posting. This role may be eligible for discretionary bonuses, which could constitute a significant portion of total compensation. This role may also be eligible for benefits, such as health, dental, and other wellness plans, as well as 401(k) contributions. Successful candidates’ compensation and benefits will be determined in consideration of various factors
