OpenAI is hiring a Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) to lead AI system deployments in life sciences. You'll work closely with pharma and biotech organizations, utilizing skills in Python and machine learning. This role requires experience in translating real-world data into production systems.
You have a strong background in engineering, particularly in deploying AI systems within regulated environments. Your experience includes working with life sciences organizations, where you've translated complex data and operational constraints into effective production systems. You are comfortable collaborating with experts in scientific domains and have a keen understanding of the R&D value chain. Your skills in Python and machine learning enable you to design and implement solutions that drive measurable impact. You thrive in hybrid work settings and are open to travel as needed to support deployments.
Experience with regulatory compliance in life sciences is a plus, as is familiarity with AI model evaluation practices. You have a proactive approach to problem-solving and are eager to push the boundaries of what's possible in drug discovery and development.
In this role, you will lead the deployment of AI models within life sciences organizations, focusing on areas such as drug discovery and trial design. You will work closely with customers to understand their unique challenges and translate those into actionable solutions. Your responsibilities will include designing production-grade systems, measuring success through adoption and workflow impact, and establishing evaluation benchmarks that inform product roadmaps.
