GenScript is hiring an Intern in Logistics to support shipping operations and document management. This role requires attention to detail and organizational skills.
You are an entry-level candidate eager to gain experience in logistics and shipping operations. You have a keen eye for detail and are organized, ensuring that all shipping documents are processed accurately. You are comfortable with data entry and have a basic understanding of customs declarations related to shipments. You are proactive and willing to assist in various logistics tasks, including monitoring shipment data and tracking freight costs.
Experience or coursework related to logistics or supply chain management would be beneficial, but not required. Familiarity with document management systems or shipping software is a plus. You are a quick learner and can adapt to new processes and tools efficiently.
In this role, you will provide support in processing and confirming shipping documents for logistics operations. You will assist in preparing and maintaining documents and customs declarations related to shipments, ensuring compliance with regulations. You will also be responsible for recording and data entry for daily order processing and shipping activities, which is crucial for maintaining accurate records. Additionally, you will support the arrangement of picking, packing, and shipping processes, collaborating with team members to ensure timely deliveries. Monitoring and updating inbound and outbound shipment data will be part of your daily tasks, as well as tracking freight costs and assisting in uploading shipment status updates.
