What you'll do

In this role, you will be a key member of DoorDash’s Actuarial Team, focusing on predictive analytics to inform insurance risk management decisions. You will build and refine models that establish key performance indicators, creating monitoring dashboards that provide insights into the insurance team’s operations. Your work will directly influence the speed and cost-effectiveness of claims resolution, making a tangible impact on the company’s bottom line.

You will support the development of risk segmentation models, leveraging your analytical skills to propose and negotiate additional rate segmentation with insurance partners during the annual renewal process. Your ability to integrate analytical outputs with business strategies will be crucial as you partner with various teams across the organization.

You will also be responsible for conducting ad-hoc analyses to provide insights that drive operational improvements — your findings will help shape the direction of the insurance program and enhance its sophistication. You will collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, and Strategy teams to ensure that your analytical work aligns with broader business objectives.
