Job Description

The Regional Learning Manager (RLM) will be responsible for formulating and implementing the strategy for learning and development initiatives supporting North American (NA) Operations Associate and Manager Onboarding and Training. The RLM will effectively assess challenges and build performance solutions, lead the development of training best practices and standards, enable solution implementation across the NA network, and drive execution of solutions in partnership with operations. The RLM is responsible for improving Safety, Quality, and Performance results for associate and leader onboarding and development. This role will align all associate and manager programs and processes with all networks towards standardization and scalability.
This role entails providing strong leadership and direction to field Learning Leaders of all levels across multiple operations in North America. Additionally, this role provides feedback to and works with corporate learning development teams to improve learning-facing products and programs.
The role of the Regional Learning Manager is to lead the region’s Learning Departments in following network standards, driving best-in-class onboarding, and improving learning standard metrics. The success of an RLM will be defined through developing site learning teams, driving regional compliance and adoption of network initiatives, improving new hire performance, managing the roll-out of new initiatives or programs, and guiding Learning teams through development of solutions and barrier removal. RLMs must deep dive crucial learning metrics (Veteran Curve, Quality, Associate Engagement, Manager Reporting, etc.) to improve the business of the operation. RLMs partner with sites to create SMART goals and sustainable actions to improve Associate and Manager Onboarding and to ensure the Learning Teams drive efficiently to move the business forward. RLMs have a dotted line to their Regional Director and will need to earn trust with indirect influence. RLMs will work closely with regional teams to remove operations barriers and provide feedback towards the continuous improvement of learning metrics.
This role will require routine travel 50% of the time, with extensive travel during launch season up to 70% and require flexibility in schedule as you may be required to work any day of the week, across daily operating hours.

Key job responsibilities
-Problem solving for your role, team, region, stakeholders.
-Drive key Learning metrics, adhoc training, adoption of network initiatives, escalations to closure, team building, region planning, barrier removal though projects/JDIs/network initiatives, development of learning products/programs.
-Learning launch support.
-Weekly reporting, calls, WBR.
-Lead through ambiguity.
-Regular communication from levels 1 through 8. Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or 2+ years of Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience • 5+ years’ work experience of direct people management • Problem solve complex challenges to find optimal, scalable solutions for customers and associates • Analytical skills and experience using and presenting data to make decisions • Ability to deliver results with minimal supervision in a dynamic and often ambiguous environment • Ability to regularly travel 50% of the time, with extensive travel during launch season up to 70% • Ability to navigate and operate throughout FC facility on day to day basis • Flexibility in schedule as you may be required to work any day of the week, across daily operating hours• Master’s degree in a related discipline • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field such as business, education, instructional design, organizational development or equivalent experience • Operational experience outside of training and leadership development • Experience supporting the training and leadership development of an operational organization • Experience with business, financial and process improvements tools, concepts and methodologies • Direct experience managing front-line supervisors and responsibility for supporting their performance and their associates • 10+ years’ experience in the areas of operational management and learning and development with increasing levels of responsibility and scope. • Exhibit concise business and HR acumen, including strong problem-solving skills, critical thinking and willingness to be vocally self-critical • Disciplined self-starter; resourceful and able to prioritize (and re-prioritize) in a fast-paced environment with shifting objectives • Outstanding interpersonal and leadership skills; role model for learning and development leaders • Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to influence peers and leaders Amazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace. Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $100,800/year in our lowest geographic market up to $169,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
