This is an entry-level position with a focus on education and community engagement.

Job Description

Who you are

You are a motivated individual eager to contribute to the mission of expanding access to knowledge and education. As an entry-level intern, you are ready to learn and grow within a non-profit research and consulting environment. You have a passion for education and community service, and you are excited about the opportunity to support rural-serving institutions in enhancing their programming and practices.

You possess strong communication skills, allowing you to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders. You are detail-oriented and organized, capable of managing multiple tasks while contributing to the overall goals of the Ithaka S+R team. Your enthusiasm for research and data-driven decision-making will help you thrive in this role.

What you'll do

In this internship, you will assist the Ithaka S+R team in facilitating the Rural Student Success Network (RSSN). Your responsibilities will include coordinating inter-institutional learning opportunities and providing tailored technical assistance to rural-serving institutions. You will help produce institution-specific reports that offer insights on optimizing improvements for each institution's local context.

You will engage in research activities designed to highlight best practices and identify lessons learned from existing literature. This will involve gathering data, analyzing findings, and contributing to reports that support the mission of enhancing student success and economic mobility in rural areas.

You will work closely with team members to ensure that the RSSN meets its objectives and effectively serves the needs of its participants. Your role will also involve attending meetings, taking notes, and assisting in the preparation of materials for presentations and workshops.

We encourage you to apply even if your experience doesn't match every requirement, as we value diverse perspectives and backgrounds in our team.

This internship is fully remote, allowing you to work from anywhere within the Continental United States. You will be part of a mission-driven organization committed to making a difference in education and community engagement.
