Overview

HelloFresh is seeking a Sous Chef to oversee daily kitchen operations and ensure food quality standards. This role requires experience in training kitchen staff and maintaining health and safety codes.

Job Description

Who you are

You have experience as a Sous Chef and are responsible for overseeing daily kitchen operations. You ensure that all food prepared meets the highest quality standards and follows all SOPs and company practices. You are skilled in training, coaching, and developing hourly kitchen staff, maintaining security and upkeep of the kitchen, including equipment, food, and supply inventories. You are results-driven and able to multitask, tracking and monitoring recipe development while maintaining productivity. You are comfortable in various temperature environments and can communicate effectively with employees.

What you'll do

In this role, you will manage the daily operations of the kitchen, ensuring compliance with state and federal health and safety codes. You will balance quality, productivity, cost, safety, and morale to achieve positive results in all areas. You will work closely with other departments to execute plant-wide initiatives and manage departmental performance measures, including visual controls. You will also perform accident investigations and notify management as appropriate, ensuring a safe working environment for all kitchen staff.
