Amazon is hiring an Engineering Operations Technician to maintain mission-critical technology infrastructure. You'll work with electrical and mechanical systems to ensure 99.999% uptime. This position requires hands-on troubleshooting skills and knowledge of data center operations.
You are an Engineering Operations Technician with a strong foundation in electrical and mechanical systems. You have hands-on experience troubleshooting complex equipment and are familiar with data center operations. Your expertise allows you to maintain and operate mission-critical facilities, ensuring that technology infrastructure runs smoothly and efficiently. You understand the importance of uptime and are committed to delivering exceptional service in a fast-paced environment. You thrive in a collaborative team setting, working alongside software, hardware, and network engineers to solve challenging problems. You are detail-oriented and possess strong analytical skills, enabling you to identify issues quickly and implement effective solutions.
Experience with diesel generators, three-phase electrical systems, and cooling systems is a plus. Familiarity with AWS infrastructure services and a passion for technology will help you excel in this role.
As an Engineering Operations Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting various systems within the data center. This includes working with stand-by diesel generators, UPSs, PDUs, and cooling systems such as CRAC units and centrifugal chillers. You will ensure that all equipment operates at peak performance, contributing to the overall reliability of the data center. Your role will involve conducting regular inspections, performing preventive maintenance, and responding to equipment failures promptly. You will collaborate with a diverse team to address operational challenges and implement improvements that enhance efficiency and uptime. Your contributions will directly impact the performance of AWS global infrastructure, supporting customers' access to innovative services.
