Lyft is hiring a Software Engineer to enhance mapping experiences for drivers and riders. You'll work with Java and cloud technologies to build scalable solutions. This role requires expertise in system architecture and cross-team collaboration.
You have a strong background in software engineering, particularly in building scalable solutions in cloud environments. Your expertise in system architecture allows you to design robust systems that can handle real-time data and user interactions effectively. You thrive in collaborative settings, working closely with cross-functional teams including engineering, product, data science, and AI/ML to deliver impactful features. You understand the importance of mapping services in enhancing user experiences and are passionate about contributing to a mission-driven organization like Lyft.
You possess a solid understanding of software development principles and have experience in developing applications that integrate various data sources. As a Software Engineer at Lyft, you will be part of the Mapping experiences team, focusing on building features that enhance the experience for both drivers and riders. You will collaborate with various teams to develop and implement solutions that leverage Lyft's in-house navigation system. Your role will involve designing and optimizing systems that process real-time routing information, ensuring that our mapping capabilities are both reliable and efficient.
You will participate in the full software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering and design to implementation and testing.
