Verkada is seeking a Senior Manager for Strategic Finance & Business Operations to partner with Marketing teams and manage budgeting and planning processes. This role requires strong analytical skills and experience in finance operations.
You have a strong background in finance and business operations, ideally with 5+ years of experience in a similar role. You excel at analytical thinking and have a proven track record of partnering with cross-functional teams to drive strategic initiatives. Your ability to manage budgets and allocate resources effectively is key to your success in this position. You are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and can adapt to the evolving needs of a high-growth startup. You possess excellent communication skills, allowing you to convey complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders clearly. You are detail-oriented and have a knack for identifying opportunities for improvement in processes and systems.
Experience in a pre-IPO startup environment is a plus, as is familiarity with marketing metrics and ROI analysis. A background in data science or analytics would also be beneficial, enabling you to leverage data in decision-making processes.
In this role, you will serve as the primary business partner to the Marketing organization, owning all aspects of budgeting and planning. You will shepherd the planning and goal-setting process for Marketing-driven pipeline and budget allocation, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives. You will lead quarterly business reviews, defining top-level goals and key business metrics to track performance. Your analytical skills will be crucial in assessing the efficacy of marketing programs and making informed recommendations to optimize spend allocation. You will collaborate closely with the CMO and other leaders to drive strategic initiatives that enhance the effectiveness of marketing efforts. You will also manage executive operating rhythms, ensuring that all stakeholders are informed and aligned on key priorities.
