Akuna is seeking a Floor Trader for their Equity Indices team in Chicago. You'll be responsible for making markets on options for brokers using proprietary pricing and execution software. This role requires strong familiarity with the S&P500 complex of options.
You are a highly motivated individual with a strong interest in trading and market dynamics. Your experience includes working relationships within the S&P500 options complex, allowing you to navigate the marketplace effectively. You thrive in collaborative environments and are eager to contribute to a team focused on providing liquidity as an options market-maker.
Your familiarity with trading strategies and mathematical models positions you well to support the team’s coverage and compete in the marketplace. You understand the importance of quick decision-making and are comfortable using technology to enhance your trading capabilities. You are committed to continuous learning and improvement in your trading practices.
Experience in a trading environment or a strong academic background in finance or mathematics would be advantageous. Familiarity with low latency technologies and automated trading systems is a plus, as is a proactive approach to identifying market opportunities.
As an SPX Floor Trader at Akuna, you will be entrenched in the SPX pit on the CBOE floor, making markets on options for brokers. Your role will involve using proprietary pricing and execution software designed for your trading tablet, enabling you to respond swiftly to market changes. You will be responsible for identifying and executing opportunities in the marketplace, which will be directly reflected in the team’s P&L.
You will collaborate closely with your team to ensure effective market coverage and liquidity provision. Your ability to make informed decisions quickly will be crucial in this fast-paced environment. You will also engage in ongoing communication with brokers and other market participants to facilitate trades and enhance market efficiency.
