Google is seeking a Senior SoC Test Hardware Engineer to develop and deploy comprehensive manufacturing test solutions for high volume semiconductor production. You'll work with Electrical Engineering and Automated Test Equipment methodologies in Tel Aviv or Haifa.
You have a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. With 5 years of experience in multi-disciplinary semiconductor hardware engineering and systems, you are well-versed in loadboard or probecard design, including SI/PI simulations, layout reviews, and schematic reviews. Your expertise in Automated Test Equipment (ATE) test methodologies and their impact on hardware requirements/design sets you apart. You also have experience with semiconductor handlers, including Chroma or Hontech, and in BurnIn hardware. Managing the complete test hardware life-cycle, from initial design and NPI enablement through to final production deployment, is something you excel at. You are familiar with multi-disciplinary thermo-electro-mechanical systems and are eager to contribute to a team that pushes boundaries, developing custom silicon solutions that power the future of Google's direct-to-consumer products.
Experience in identifying and screening potential vendors, including technological and budgetary assessments, is a plus. You are skilled in defining probecard and loadboard requirements based on testing strategy, accounting for test time, tester memory, and budget. Reviewing SI/PI simulations and final design signoff is part of your expertise, as is validating probecard and loadboard hardware and opening testing pipelines.
In this role, you will help manufacture the SoCs that power Google's data centers by developing and deploying comprehensive manufacturing test and data analytics solutions for high volume manufacturing at wafer fabs and OSATs. You will contribute to the innovation behind products loved by millions worldwide, shaping the next generation of hardware experiences that deliver unparalleled performance, efficiency, and integration. Your responsibilities will include collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure that the test hardware meets all specifications and requirements. You will also track and verify progress at all stages of the design, ensuring that all milestones are met on time and within budget. Your role will involve extensive communication with various stakeholders to align on project goals and timelines, as well as providing technical guidance and support to junior engineers.
At Google, you will be part of a dynamic team that values innovation and collaboration. You will have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge technologies and contribute to projects that have a significant impact on the company's future. We encourage you to apply even if your experience doesn't match every requirement, as we believe in fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace. Competitive compensation and benefits packages are available, along with opportunities for professional growth and development within the company.
