Carvana is seeking an Experienced Heavy Body Technician to perform extensive bodywork and train other technicians. This role requires a minimum of 5 years of professional automotive bodywork experience.
You have a minimum of 5 years of professional automotive bodywork experience, demonstrating your expertise in heavy bodywork techniques. Your skills include heavy plastic welding, metal pulling, straightening, shrinking, and stud welding, which are essential for performing extensive bodywork on multiple panels. You are also capable of training other autobody technicians, sharing your knowledge and experience to help them grow in their roles. Your attention to detail and commitment to quality ensure that every vehicle you work on meets high standards of repair and safety.
You thrive in a fast-paced environment and are comfortable using state-of-the-art tools in a high-tech Inspection Center. Your ability to work collaboratively with a team of technicians is complemented by your strong communication skills, allowing you to effectively coordinate with colleagues and contribute to a positive work atmosphere. You are dedicated to continuous improvement and are eager to learn new techniques and technologies in the automotive repair industry.
While not required, any additional certifications such as ASE would be beneficial. Experience with specific automotive brands or models may also enhance your candidacy. A valid driver’s license and the ability to read, write, speak, and understand English are essential for this role.
As an Experienced Heavy Body Technician at Carvana, you will be responsible for performing extensive bodywork on various vehicles, ensuring that repairs are completed to the highest standards. You will utilize your skills in heavy plastic welding, metal pulling, and other bodywork techniques to restore vehicles to their original condition. Your role will also involve training and mentoring other technicians, helping them develop their skills and knowledge in automotive bodywork.
You will work closely with your team to ensure that all repairs are completed efficiently and effectively, contributing to the overall success of the Inspection Center. Your attention to detail will be crucial as you assess the condition of vehicles and determine the necessary repairs. You will also be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety protocols and best practices in automotive repair.

In addition to your salary, you will receive a $6,000 bonus as part of your compensation package.
