Staff Product Manager - Billing & Reporting

You understand the complexities of building products that integrate seamlessly with various teams, including Engineering, Accounting, and Business Intelligence. You possess a strong understanding of monetization strategies and have successfully defined specifications for billing and usage metering in previous roles. Your experience includes working with cross-functional teams to ensure that product innovations translate into clean revenue and accurate forecasting. You are detail-oriented and have a knack for creating standardized processes that enhance product integration and customer trust.

Desirable

Experience with real-time billing systems or usage metering is a plus. Familiarity with event-driven architectures and the ability to partner effectively with engineering teams will help you excel in this role. You are also comfortable with data analysis and reporting, which will aid in creating insights that drive product value.

What you'll do

In this role, you will own the zero to one build of Socure’s real-time billing and reporting systems. You will define the billing specifications that every Socure product integrates with, ensuring consistent monetization and usage capture. Your collaboration with Engineering will be crucial as you work together to deliver a real-time, event-driven billing flow, including metering, rating, proration, discounts, bundles, commitments, and overage rules.

You will be responsible for creating a standardized billing foundation that connects product innovation to revenue generation. This involves working closely with various stakeholders, including Product, Engineering, Accounting, Revenue Operations, Finance, and Business Intelligence. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring that the billing and reporting systems are reliable and trusted by both leaders and customers.

You will also engage in defining metrics and success criteria for the billing systems, ensuring that they align with the overall business objectives. Your insights will help shape the future of Socure’s product offerings and contribute to the company's hypergrowth engine.
