SpaceX is hiring a Fabrication Technician for Falcon Operations to provide technician GSE support, including building and maintaining equipment. You'll work with high-pressure systems and collaborate with design engineers. This role requires 3+ years of industrial experience.
You have a high school diploma or equivalency certificate and at least 3 years of industrial experience installing and maintaining equipment. You are skilled in troubleshooting and repairing hardware, particularly in high-pressure systems and pumps. Your experience includes collaborating with design engineers to develop and document GSE activities, ensuring that all materials meet Clean for Oxygen Service Standards. You are familiar with safety regulations and quality policies, including OSHA and EPA standards. You have a proactive approach to developing novel ways to streamline processes and increase the reliability of testing operations.
As a Fabrication Technician at SpaceX, you will provide technician GSE support, which involves building, installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting equipment such as pumps, tanks, valves, and plumbing related to the LOX pad and fuel pad. You will operate and maintain hardware and high-pressure systems, ensuring that all equipment is functioning optimally. Your responsibilities will also include fabricating and repairing GSE hardware and equipment, collaborating closely with design engineers to document all activities. You will ensure compliance with all necessary regulations and SpaceX procedures, contributing to the overall safety and efficiency of operations. Additionally, you will perform a variety of related duties in support of engine testing and structural test stand programs, making a significant impact on SpaceX's mission to enable human life on Mars.
