Senior Ocean Operations Associate

You have a strong background in ocean freight operations, with experience managing complex shipment processes and a proven ability to lead and mentor a team. What you'll do

In this role, you will execute and oversee end-to-end ocean freight shipments, including Full Container Load (FCL), Less than Container Load (LCL), imports, exports, and intermodal transport. You will act as the first point of escalation for your team, addressing issues such as rollovers, customs holds, port congestion, and vendor delays. Your responsibilities will also include coaching and mentoring a small squad of associates, helping them to deliver consistent quality and learn faster. You will be instrumental in improving processes and building a foundation for future leaders within the team. Your problem-solving skills will be critical as you navigate the complexities of global trade and logistics, ensuring that Flexport continues to meet the needs of its clients.
