You hold a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Optics, Systems Engineering, or equivalent practical experience, and you have at least 6 years of experience working in a display or semiconductor test engineering technical environment. Your background includes the introduction of new test systems into production environments, and you have 3 years of experience in technical leadership. You are well-versed in imaging colorimetry, photometry, and optical metrology systems, and you possess strong data analysis and scripting skills using Python, including libraries such as pandas and numpy, as well as SQL.
A Master's degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, or a related field such as Optics, Sensors, or Audio/DSP would be advantageous. You have experience in automating electrical instrumentation and optical equipment via Python, utilizing Standard Commands for Programmable Instruments (SCPI) and Virtual Instrument Software Architecture (VISA). Additionally, you have experience designing or integrating optomechanical fixtures and automation for high-precision optical measurement, and you have a track record of releasing complex hardware/software tools into a high-volume Mass Production (MP) environment. Familiarity with ULED, OLED, or related emissive display technologies is also a plus.
In this role, you will set project timelines, define milestones, and organize domain experts through complex debugging and scale-up phases. You will partner with external vendors to define optical calibration scaling strategies and oversee the release of tools into mass production environments. Your responsibilities will include defining and executing test programs for chip and system-level validation, utilizing advanced data analysis to drive design improvements. You will lead cross-functional teams in complete system design, from concept to deployment, contributing to the innovation behind products loved by millions worldwide.
At Google, you will be part of a team that pushes boundaries, developing custom silicon solutions that power the future of direct-to-consumer products.
