We are looking for an experienced Business Analyst to join SPS FP&A team to help unlock insights which take our business to next level. The team is responsible for controllership, building scalable solutions and supporting program analytics. As a Business Analyst, you will have excellent analytical abilities as well as business acumen. The ideal candidate knows and loves our customers (internal and external) and will work back from the customer to create actionable insights and reporting. They are experts in partnering and earning trust with finance/business leaders to drive these key business decisions.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Own the development and maintenance of new and existing solution artifacts which are focused on driving efficiency within the business via analysis, metrics, and reporting dashboards.
- Partner with finance/business teams to consult, develop and implement KPI’s, automated reporting/process solutions, and process improvements to meet business needs.
- Enable effective decision making by retrieving and aggregating data from multiple sources and compiling it into a digestible and actionable format.
- Design, develop and maintain scaled, automated, user-friendly systems, reports, dashboards, etc. that will help translate analytics insights into concrete, actionable recommendations for business or product improvement.
- Excellent writing skills, to create artifacts easily digestible by business and tech partners.
- 1+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
- 2+ years of complex Excel VBA macros writing experience
- Experience defining requirements and using data and metrics to draw business insights
- Experience with SQL or ETL
- 2+ years of Excel or Tableau (data manipulation, macros, charts and pivot tables) experience- Experience working with Tableau
- Experience using very large datasets

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $50,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $107,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
