What you'll do

As a Backend Engineer on the Journeys team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing the orchestration layer that powers modern marketing automation. You will work on creating personalized, multi-step workflows that react to real-time events and customer data. Your role will involve collaborating closely with product managers to understand user requirements and translating them into technical specifications.

You will participate in system design discussions, where you will architect solutions that are scalable and maintainable. Your expertise in distributed systems will be crucial as you tackle challenges related to reliability and performance. You will also be involved in code reviews, ensuring that best practices are followed and that the codebase remains clean and efficient.

Monitoring and optimizing the performance of the systems you build will be part of your responsibilities. You will work with tools to ensure observability and reliability, addressing any issues that arise in production. Your contributions will directly impact the success of the Journeys product and the satisfaction of our customers.
