Who you are

You are an entry-level Engineering Technician with a strong foundation in electrical and mechanical systems. Your hands-on experience with troubleshooting and maintaining critical infrastructure makes you a valuable asset to our team. You understand the importance of uptime in technology operations and are eager to contribute to maintaining our data centers. You have a keen interest in working with diesel generators, three-phase electrical systems, and cooling equipment, ensuring that all systems operate smoothly and efficiently.

Desirable

What you'll do

As an Engineering Technician at Amazon, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining the heartbeat of our data centers. Your primary responsibilities will include operating and troubleshooting electrical and mechanical equipment, such as diesel generators, UPS systems, and cooling towers. You will ensure that all systems are functioning optimally, contributing to our goal of achieving 99.999% uptime.

You will work closely with other technicians and engineers to identify and resolve issues quickly, minimizing downtime and ensuring seamless operations. Your role will involve performing routine maintenance checks, documenting findings, and implementing corrective actions as needed. You will also assist in the installation of new equipment and systems, ensuring that all installations meet safety and operational standards.

Collaboration is key in this role, as you will partner with various teams to support the overall operation of our data centers. You will participate in training sessions and workshops to enhance your skills and knowledge, staying updated on the latest technologies and best practices in the industry.
