You have over 10 years of progressive experience in financial reporting, ideally within the financial industry — you thrive on data and have a strong focus on operational excellence. Your expertise in IFRS and Dutch GAAP allows you to navigate complex accounting topics with ease, ensuring compliance and accuracy in financial reporting. You are adept at leading teams and driving continuous improvement initiatives, particularly in the context of financial consolidation processes. Your ability to partner with stakeholders across Finance, Tax, and Treasury demonstrates your strong communication skills and collaborative approach. You are passionate about leveraging technology to enhance reporting efficiency and are always looking for ways to automate and standardize processes.

Desirable

Experience with consolidation tools and a proven track record of upgrading financial reporting systems would be a significant advantage. Familiarity with data-driven approaches to identify areas for process improvement is also highly desirable. You understand the evolving business requirements and can adapt quickly to changes in the financial landscape.

What you'll do

In this high-impact role, you will lead the consolidation and closing process of the Group, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with relevant accounting standards such as IFRS and Dutch GAAP. You will be responsible for operationalizing complex accounting topics, including deferred tax and equity accounting, while driving the continuous improvement of consolidation tools and processes. Your role will involve collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to align inputs and outputs, ensuring that all financial reporting is streamlined and efficient. You will also take the lead in identifying areas for automation and standardization, applying a data-driven approach to enhance reporting efficiency. As a key member of the finance team, you will play a crucial role in shaping the global financial reporting infrastructure at Optiver.
