Overview

SeatGeek is seeking a Staff UX Designer to transform live experiences in the ticketing industry. You'll leverage your expertise in behavioral design and systems thinking to craft cohesive strategies and improve user experiences. This role requires 8+ years of experience in UX design.

Job Description

Who you are

You have 8+ years of experience in research methods that significantly impact product direction and detailed experience design — your background includes working in technology sectors such as ticketing or event management, where you've honed your skills in understanding user needs and behaviors. You thrive in ambiguity and are adept at balancing speed and quality, ensuring that your designs drive meaningful impact through both optimizations and new product development.

Your expertise in behavioral design, systems design, and storytelling allows you to shape strategy and provide end-to-end craft leadership — you are passionate about experimentation and data, and you demonstrate outstanding design skills that resonate with users. You have a collaborative spirit, working effectively with product, engineering, marketing, and success teams to create a cohesive vision for the user experience.

Desirable

Experience in digital CRM or e-commerce platforms, as well as healthcare tools, is a plus — you understand the nuances of these domains and how they affect user interactions. Your ability to connect the dots across various verticals will be crucial in evolving SeatGeek's platform into a best-in-class ticketing experience.

What you'll do

In this role, you will deeply understand the needs, motivations, and behaviors of fans, sellers, teams, and artists — your insights will guide the direction of design strategies that are clear and impactful. You will sweat the details through execution and launch, ensuring that every aspect of the user experience is polished and effective.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve component systems, ensuring consistent and high-quality experiences across the platform — your leadership will help drive the design process from concept to delivery, making sure that the final product meets the highest standards of usability and aesthetic appeal.

Your role will also involve balancing speed and quality, focusing on driving impact through both optimizations and the development of new products — you will be responsible for demonstrating how design can enhance user engagement and satisfaction.

What we offer

At SeatGeek, we believe in the power of live events to unite people, and we are committed to modernizing the ticketing industry — as part of our team, you will have the opportunity to shape the future of how fans experience live events. We offer a flexible remote work environment, allowing you to collaborate with a diverse team from anywhere in the United States.

Join us in our mission to create the best ticketing experience possible — we value creativity, innovation, and a user-first approach in everything we do. We encourage you to apply even if your experience doesn't match every requirement, as we believe that diverse perspectives lead to better products.
