You are an Engineering Technician with a strong foundation in electrical and mechanical systems — you thrive in hands-on environments and enjoy troubleshooting complex equipment. Your experience includes working with mission-critical facilities, ensuring that operations run smoothly and efficiently. You understand the importance of maintaining high uptime and are committed to delivering exceptional results in a fast-paced setting. You are familiar with AWS infrastructure and have a basic understanding of Linux systems, which allows you to contribute effectively to the team. As an Engineering Operations Technician at Amazon, you will play a critical role in maintaining the heartbeat of our technology infrastructure. Your responsibilities will include operating and troubleshooting various electrical and mechanical systems, such as diesel generators, UPSs, and cooling systems. You will work closely with a team of engineers to ensure that all equipment is functioning optimally, contributing to our goal of achieving 99.999% uptime. You will be involved in routine maintenance tasks, as well as responding to any operational issues that arise. Your hands-on expertise will be essential in keeping our data centers running smoothly and efficiently.
