Block is seeking a Partnerships Lead for the APAC region to design and scale global partnerships that drive seller acquisition and business growth. This role focuses on collaboration with various partners across Australia and Japan.
You have a proven track record in building and managing strategic partnerships, ideally within the technology or financial services sectors. Your experience spans at least 5 years, where you've successfully negotiated and executed partnership agreements that drive business growth. You possess strong analytical skills, enabling you to assess partnership performance and make data-driven decisions. Your communication skills are exceptional, allowing you to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels, from internal teams to external partners. You are adaptable and thrive in a fast-paced environment, where you can pivot strategies based on market trends and partner needs. You understand the nuances of the APAC market, particularly in Australia and Japan, and can navigate cultural differences to foster strong relationships.
Experience in the payments or e-commerce industry is a plus, as is familiarity with omnichannel solutions and financial services. A background in sales or business development can enhance your ability to identify and capitalize on partnership opportunities. You are comfortable using CRM tools and data analytics platforms to track and report on partnership success metrics.
In this role, you will be responsible for designing and implementing a partnership strategy that aligns with Square's business objectives in the APAC region. You will identify potential partners, including referral networks, distributors, and technology platforms, and lead negotiations to establish mutually beneficial agreements. Your focus will be on driving seller acquisition and retention through these partnerships, ensuring that they contribute to Square's overall growth. You will collaborate closely with internal teams, including marketing and product development, to create integrated solutions that meet the needs of our sellers. Regularly assessing the performance of partnerships will be crucial, as you will need to adjust strategies based on data insights and market feedback. You will also represent Square at industry events and conferences, promoting our partnership initiatives and building our brand presence in the APAC region.
