Google is seeking a Senior Business Development Manager for Exchange Platforms to lead partnerships and drive business opportunities. You'll leverage your expertise in media sales and client management, requiring fluency in English and Japanese.
You have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience, along with 7 years of experience in business development, partnerships, management consulting, or investment banking. Your background includes managing agreements or partnerships, and you possess the ability to communicate fluently in both English and Japanese, as this role involves direct interaction with clients and stakeholders both locally and internationally.
Your experience in meeting or exceeding business goals in a media sales environment is complemented by your familiarity with Direct IO media buys and connected TV. You have a strong understanding of complex products, services, and agreement structures, and you excel in problem-solving, communication, and presentation skills.
As a Strategic Partner Development Manager, you will open doors with potential partners, leading exploratory discussions and evaluating business opportunities. You will manage cross-functional teams, provide thought leadership, and mentor managers and associates. Your role will involve escalating and presenting business development strategies and key issues to senior management, ensuring alignment with Google Product, Engineering, Legal, and Sales teams on new product initiatives.
You will be responsible for capturing new media budgets from marketer-facing teams at Agency OpCos, generating and maintaining a robust pipeline of agency-based advertiser opportunities across various accounts. Establishing strong relationships and demonstrating thought leadership will be key to your success.
Your responsibilities will include securing, conducting, and winning client prospect meetings, managing them from initiation to the closure of agreements. You will analyze market trends and client needs to create and pitch unique, customized media plans to high-profile programmatic and digital media buyers. Additionally, you will influence programmatic agreement setups and establish preferred relationships with each account.
