Job Description

Who you are

You have 5+ years of experience in security engineering, with a strong focus on application and platform security. Your background includes working with cloud-based applications and Kubernetes, where you've developed effective security solutions to protect systems and data.

You are well-versed in security architecture and project-specific threat modeling, allowing you to identify vulnerabilities and implement robust security measures. Your coding skills enable you to contribute to security initiatives directly, ensuring that security is integrated into the development process.

You thrive in collaborative environments, partnering with engineering teams to enhance the security posture of the organization. Your ability to communicate complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders is a key strength, helping to foster a culture of security awareness across the company.

You are passionate about building secure software and have a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating security risks. Your experience with security frameworks and tools, such as OWASP, allows you to stay ahead of emerging threats and vulnerabilities.

Desirable

Experience with security tools like Burp Suite and Datadog is a plus, as is familiarity with compliance standards and regulations. You are eager to learn and adapt to new security technologies and practices, continuously improving your skills and knowledge in the field.

Your role will involve conducting security assessments and audits, identifying vulnerabilities in applications and infrastructure, and recommending remediation strategies. You will also develop and maintain security policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices.

You will participate in incident response activities, helping to investigate and resolve security incidents effectively. Your expertise will guide the team in implementing security controls and monitoring solutions to detect and respond to threats in real-time.

Collaboration is key in this role, as you will partner with engineering teams to integrate security into the software development lifecycle. You will provide guidance on secure coding practices and conduct training sessions to raise security awareness among developers.

What we offer

Sentry embraces a hybrid work model, allowing you to work in the office on designated anchor days while also providing flexibility for remote work. You will be part of a dynamic team that values collaboration and innovation, contributing to the development of cutting-edge software monitoring tools.
