You have 5+ years of experience in product design, with a strong portfolio showcasing your ability to create user-centered designs that balance creativity and analytical thinking. You are proficient in Figma and have a solid understanding of design principles that enhance user experience. Your background includes working closely with product and engineering teams to bring design visions to life, and you thrive in collaborative environments where you can contribute to strategic discussions.

You possess a keen eye for detail and a passion for creating intuitive and engaging user interfaces. Your experience includes designing for complex systems and understanding the needs of technical users. You are comfortable working with data to inform your design decisions and are always looking for ways to improve the user experience through thoughtful design solutions.

Desirable

Experience in designing for AI/Machine Learning products or data platforms is a plus. Familiarity with design systems and establishing common design patterns will help you succeed in this role. What you'll do

As a Senior Product Designer at Databricks, you will play a key role in shaping the future of our design efforts. You will design best-in-class user experiences across core areas of the Databricks platform, focusing on Developer Experience, Data Governance, and Internal Tools. Your work will streamline how users interact with the Databricks Lakehouse Platform, ensuring that our products are not only functional but also delightful to use.

You will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including product managers and engineers, to define a strategic vision for our products. Your ability to communicate design concepts effectively will be crucial as you advocate for user needs and drive design decisions. You will also help identify and establish common design patterns to create a consistent platform experience.

In this role, you will be responsible for conducting user research and usability testing to gather insights that inform your design process. You will iterate on designs based on feedback and data, ensuring that our products meet the needs of our users. Your contributions will directly impact critical business areas at Databricks, making your role essential to our mission of making data science simpler and more accessible.
