NewsBreak is hiring a Machine Learning Engineer to build the infrastructure for their Ads and Recommendations products. You'll work with technologies like Python, AWS, and TensorFlow to enhance model performance and reliability. This position requires experience in machine learning and infrastructure development.
You have 3+ years of experience in machine learning engineering, focusing on building and optimizing infrastructure for model training and serving. You are proficient in Python and have a solid understanding of machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow and PyTorch — you know how to implement and monitor models effectively in production environments.
Your experience with cloud platforms like AWS allows you to leverage scalable resources for machine learning workloads. You are familiar with containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes, enabling you to deploy and manage applications seamlessly.
You possess strong analytical skills and are comfortable working with SQL databases to manage and query data efficiently. You understand the importance of data quality and have experience in building data pipelines that support machine learning workflows.
You thrive in collaborative environments and enjoy partnering with product and data teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions. You are proactive in identifying performance bottlenecks and are committed to improving the efficiency of machine learning processes.
Experience with MLflow for managing the machine learning lifecycle is a plus. Familiarity with A/B testing methodologies and performance metrics will help you contribute to data-driven decision-making processes. You are open to learning new technologies and methodologies that can enhance your work and the team's output.
In this role, you will be responsible for building and maintaining the machine learning infrastructure that powers NewsBreak's Ads and Recommendations products. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that models are trained efficiently and deployed reliably, reducing latency and operational costs.
You will enhance the model serving performance by implementing best practices in model deployment and monitoring. Your work will involve optimizing the feature and embedding platform to ensure that models remain consistent and up-to-date across different environments.
You will participate in the full machine learning lifecycle, from data preprocessing and feature engineering to model training and evaluation. You will also be responsible for monitoring model performance in production and making necessary adjustments to improve outcomes.
Collaboration is key in this role, as you will partner with product managers and data scientists to align on project goals and deliverables. You will contribute to the development of tools and processes that streamline the machine learning workflow, making it easier for the team to iterate on ideas and launch new models.
At NewsBreak, we offer a competitive salary range of $180,000—$225,000 USD, along with a comprehensive benefits package designed to attract top talent. You will have the opportunity to work in a supportive environment that values innovation and collaboration.
