Coupang is hiring a Staff Mobile Engineer (Android) to lead the design and development of their Android app. You'll work with technologies like Java and Kotlin, ensuring high-quality code and app performance. This role requires 7+ years of hands-on Android development experience.
You have over 7 years of hands-on experience in Android development, showcasing a deep understanding of the Android platform and its components. Your expertise in Java and Kotlin allows you to architect and develop high-quality applications that deliver exceptional user experiences. You are skilled in app performance tuning and have a proven track record of releasing apps on Google Play, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality and stability.
Your experience includes rich integration with RESTful JSON APIs, and you possess a solid understanding of design patterns such as MVP and MVVM. You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with cross-functional teams including business, product, and UI/UX to deliver new features on schedule. Your strong communication skills enable you to articulate technical concepts clearly, fostering effective teamwork.
You are keen on exploring new technologies and continuously assess and apply them to improve your team's productivity and technical capabilities. Your background in eCommerce or payment domains is a plus, as it equips you with insights into building applications that cater to customer needs effectively.
