Job Description

At Amazon, innovation drives growth and enables us to offer our customers more types of products more conveniently and at even lower prices. The Amazon Books team is seeking a Senior RPA Developer to improve workflows, reduce manual workload through Robotic Process Automation.

The candidate will develop production applications and services to ensure a positive customer experience that is inline with Amazon business objectives. They have an understanding and empathy for Amazon’s customers and business objectives, particularly those aspects relevant to the team and division (where “division” is an organization which can include about 150 people).

Key job responsibilities
• Design, develop, and implement RPA solutions using UiPath platform, ensuring scalability and enterprise-grade performance
• Analyze complex business processes and workflows to identify automation opportunities, calculate ROI, and create detailed technical specifications
• Build and maintain reusable RPA components, custom frameworks, and bot orchestration solutions while following best practices and coding standards
• Lead the development of automated test frameworks and monitoring systems to ensure bot reliability and performance across multiple environments
• Mentor junior RPA developers, conduct code reviews, and provide technical guidance on bot architecture and development standards
• Collaborate with business stakeholders and IT teams to integrate RPA solutions with existing systems, APIs, and databases
• Drive innovation by evaluating emerging RPA technologies, implementing cognitive automation capabilities, and establishing best practices for the RPA Center of Excellence

About the team
The Katalyst-Tech team is a part of the Risk, Operations, Success, and Engagement (ROSE) organization. We provide Process automation, Application development, and Robotic Process Automation (RPA) services to multiple partner teams (Books, Music, AWS ) with a skilled group of Application Engineers, RPA Developers, and System Development Engineers.
We have built and maintain over 150 bespoke applications, internal tools, and backend services used daily across Books Operations.- 3+ years of software development experience
- A minimum of 36 months developing and implementing automated UiPath processes as an accredited UiPath developer.
- Designing Automation process solutions in accordance with standard UiPath design principles and conventions.
- Understanding of workflow-based logic and the ability to both understand a business process from a workflow diagram and to conceptualize it as an automated solution.
- Configuring new RPA processes and objects using core workflow principles that are efficient, well structured, maintainable, and easy to understand.
- Experience in implementing I/O automation with exposed API’s and database tables
- Experience in working with UiPath Orchestrator- Knowledge of web services, distributed systems, and web application development
- Experience with REST web services, XML, JSON
- Experience scripting in modern programming languages
- A minimum of 12 months experience delivering using an Agile methodology, and concepts such as Minimum Viable Product.
- Creating and maintaining solution documentation e.g., high level design document, process definition document etc.
- Problem solving issues that arise in day to day running of RPA processes and providing timely responses and solutions as required.
- Working within project planning constraints, communicating any identified project risks and issues to the delivery/project manager accordingly and providing inputs to the change control process.
- Experience in working with GitHub or other code repo/version control tools
