You are a highly motivated Infrastructure Engineer with a strong background in VMware solutions, including VCF 9 and vSphere 7.x/8.x. You have experience working with Microsoft products such as Active Directory, DNS, and Servers, and you are comfortable with Linux distributions like CentOS, Ubuntu, and Debian. Your intermediate knowledge of networking allows you to understand and troubleshoot various infrastructure challenges. You thrive in an agile environment, valuing trust, autonomy, and ownership of your work.

You possess excellent problem-solving skills and are capable of handling both simple maintenance tasks and complex projects. Your ability to research new technologies and build innovative products sets you apart. You are a team player who enjoys collaborating with other departments and vendors to deliver exceptional services to customers. Building sustainable long-term relationships with clients is important to you, and you take pride in ensuring their needs are met.

What you'll do

As a VMware Infrastructure Engineer at Leaseweb, you will be responsible for our worldwide cloud hosting platform. Your role will involve designing, building, and supporting virtualized computing solutions based on VMware technology. You will work closely with the VMware Cloud team to deliver high-quality services that meet customer expectations. Your responsibilities will include researching new technologies to enhance our offerings and collaborating with other departments to define the best solutions for our clients.

You will support our sales team by helping them understand customer needs and providing insights into the best solutions available. Monitoring our services to ensure they are always up and running will be a key part of your role, as will being the third level of support for complex issues that arise. Occasionally, you may be required to be on-call to resolve critical problems that others cannot.
