Project Kuiper is an initiative to launch a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites that will provide low-latency, high-speed broadband connectivity to unserved and underserved communities around the world.
We are looking for a talented lawyer to join the Amazon Legal team supporting Project Kuiper. You will be embedded with the Kuiper business, with a focus on supporting commercial customer and partner deals across EMEA.
We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic about technology, enjoys being continually challenged, and demonstrates sound judgment even in ambiguous situations.
Key job responsibilities
You will support Kuiper commercial business development and sales efforts in EMEA. Legal support will include structuring, drafting, and negotiating a range of agreements (e.g., agreements to sell services and customer terminals), and counseling the business team on legal issues related to Kuiper’s customer and partner contracts. The successful candidate will develop strategies for handling legal issues in creative, business-centric ways and build processes that address risk and allow the business flexibility and freedom to move quickly.- License to practice law in Europe, US or other common law jurisdiction
- Speak, write, and read fluently in English
- 5+ years of post-qualification legal experience.- Experience of a mix of corporate law firm and in-house work
- Experience counseling clients on deals in EMEA countries
- Experience in the mobility, telecom, or aviation sectors
- Ability to work independently while being able to contribute successfully to cross-functional teams
- Excited and passionate about innovating on behalf of our customers
- Strong written and oral communication skills
