Pellet Mill Operator

Who you are

As a Pellet Mill Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining several pellet mills, ensuring optimal feed rates and monitoring pellet quality to meet company standards. You have a keen eye for detail and are committed to maintaining a clean and safe work environment. You understand the importance of following workplace and job safety procedures and are dedicated to producing high-quality pellets. You are comfortable analyzing equipment performance and making necessary adjustments to achieve desired throughput and quality results.

You possess the ability to perform and document required inspections of equipment, ensuring that it remains in good condition. You are familiar with reviewing work order specifications or instructions to determine the materials and procedures needed for pellet production. Your technical skills allow you to adjust machine components to regulate speed, pressure, and temperatures effectively.

You are proactive in monitoring machine operations and can quickly detect malfunctions by observing indicator lights and gauges. You are also capable of performing and coordinating maintenance on equipment as per job instructions, ensuring that production runs smoothly. Your commitment to quality means you will maintain consistent production quality to the required standard.

What you'll do

In this role, you will operate and maintain pellet mills, ensuring that production processes run efficiently. You will analyze equipment performance and make necessary tooling and equipment changes to produce the desired throughput and quality results. Your responsibilities will include performing and documenting required inspections of equipment and maintaining it in good condition. You will review work order specifications or instructions to determine the materials, ingredients, and procedures necessary for producing pellets.

You will adjust machine components to regulate the speed, pressure, and temperatures of the machines, as well as the amount, dimensions, and flow of materials and ingredients. Monitoring machine operations will be a key part of your role, as you will observe indicator lights and gauges to detect malfunctions. You will also perform and coordinate maintenance on equipment according to job instructions, ensuring that all machinery is functioning optimally.

Your role will require you to maintain a clean work environment and follow all workplace and job safety procedures. You will be responsible for completing accurate reporting as required. Your attention to detail and commitment to quality will help ensure that production meets the company's high standards.
