You have experience working on connectivity firmware and are familiar with performance evaluation methodologies. Your expertise in C and C++ allows you to analyze and optimize software for various hardware prototypes effectively. You have a solid understanding of embedded Linux systems and can navigate complex software and hardware interactions. You are detail-oriented and possess strong analytical skills, enabling you to make data-driven recommendations for software improvements. You thrive in collaborative environments and enjoy working with cross-functional teams to drive innovation in product development.
Experience with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth technologies is a plus, as is familiarity with tools like Wireshark for analyzing network performance. In this role, you will join the Wireless Technologies and Ecosystems organization at Apple, working closely with a team of engineers dedicated to optimizing software for the next generation of Apple products, including the Apple Watch, AirPods, iPhone, iPad, and Mac. You will be responsible for devising performance evaluation methodologies on software and hardware prototypes, analyzing logs, and making recommendations based on trade-off analysis at both the system and product levels. Your work will involve testing and optimizing software from early prototypes until productization, ensuring that the final product meets Apple's high standards for performance and reliability.
You will collaborate with other engineers to identify performance bottlenecks and develop solutions that enhance the user experience. Your role will require you to stay updated on the latest advancements in wireless technologies and apply this knowledge to improve Apple's connectivity solutions. You will also participate in code reviews and contribute to the overall development process, ensuring that best practices are followed throughout the software lifecycle.
