Stripe is hiring an Account Executive for the Enterprise - Public Sector team to identify and close new business opportunities. You'll engage with government and public institutions, leveraging your sales expertise to drive growth. This role requires a strong background in enterprise sales and relationship management.
You have a proven track record in enterprise sales, particularly within the public sector, where you've successfully identified and closed new business opportunities. Your experience includes developing long-term account strategies and cultivating executive relationships across various government levels. You excel in navigating complex organizations and leading multi-stakeholder deals from initial outreach through to close. You thrive in fast-moving environments and are comfortable working with cross-functional teams, including Product, Engineering, Finance, Legal, and Partnerships. Your ability to translate technical and business requirements into actionable solutions sets you apart, and you have a consistent history of exceeding sales quotas in competitive markets.
Experience with public sector agencies, systems integrators, or technology partners is a plus. You have a knack for influencing product direction by providing user feedback and market insights to product teams. Your strong negotiation skills enable you to lead commercial negotiations effectively, ensuring that both Stripe and its clients achieve their goals.
In this role, you will be responsible for expanding Stripe's presence across federal, state, and local government, as well as educational institutions. You will identify, develop, and close new opportunities, executing long-term sales strategies that align with Stripe's mission to increase the GDP of the internet. Your role will involve deeply engaging with internal and external stakeholders to build value in competitive environments. You will lead commercial negotiations through to close, ensuring that Stripe's solutions meet the unique needs of public sector clients. You will also collaborate closely with various teams to ensure that the solutions you propose are technically sound and aligned with client expectations.
