Pattern is seeking a Principal Data Engineer to lead the Data Engineering team in designing and scaling their canonical data model. You'll work with technologies like AWS and Apache Spark to transform complex data into actionable insights. This role requires strong leadership and technical skills in data engineering.
You have over 5 years of experience in data engineering, with a proven track record of designing and implementing data pipelines that support analytics and machine learning initiatives. Your expertise in AWS and Apache Spark allows you to build scalable solutions that handle large volumes of data efficiently. You are a systems thinker who can transform complex, raw data into structured formats that are easy to understand and use. You have strong mentoring skills, guiding junior engineers and influencing technical direction within your team. Your ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams ensures that data solutions align with business goals.
Experience with machine learning frameworks and data visualization tools is a plus. Familiarity with data governance and quality assurance practices will help you maintain the integrity of the data you manage.
