Shopbop is seeking an experienced Sr. Designer to specialize in apparel. This critical role involves the creation and development of innovative designs that reflect both market trends and our brand identity across apparel categories. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to oversee the design process, ensuring that each collection resonates with our customers and meets our quality standards.
Key job responsibilities
• Conceptualize and design a diverse range of products that align with brand aesthetics and customer preferences
• Create detailed technical sketches, specifications, and presentations for partner teams
• Collaborate with merchandising teams to ensure design practicality and market readiness
• Partner with the fashion office and buying to identify product voids, trends and consumer insights that inform design decisions
• Oversee the design process from conception to production, ensuring quality and timeliness
• Stay informed about the latest fabric developments and construction techniques to enhance product innovation
- 6+ years of design experience
- Have an available online portfolio
- Experience partnering with technical partners for design implementation
- Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design or a related field
- Proficient in design software
- Solid understanding of garment construction, fabrics, and manufacturing processes
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects effectively while meeting deadlines
- Passion for fashion trends and a strong sense of market dynamics- Experience with sustainable design practices is a plus

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $127,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $210,300/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
