Sr. Software Engineer

You have 5+ years of experience in software engineering, particularly in building and scaling production systems. Your expertise allows you to tackle complex engineering challenges, ensuring high performance and reliability in your solutions. You possess a strong problem-solving mindset, which drives you to address technically demanding challenges that impact customers directly. Your background includes a solid understanding of best practices in code quality, scalability, and documentation, which you champion in your work. You are familiar with the travel industry, particularly in areas such as flights, bookings, or inventory management, which gives you an edge in understanding user needs. A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience, complements your technical skills.

What you'll do

As a Senior Software Engineer in the Flights group, you will design and develop robust, high-performance features and core services that support Navan’s flagship product. You will take end-to-end ownership of features, from design and development to deployment and operational support, ensuring exceptional quality and value for users. Your role will involve collaborating with a global, cross-functional team, including engineers, product managers, designers, and business leaders, to deliver impactful solutions. You will apply your deep technical expertise and creativity to solve large-scale engineering challenges, driving improvements in reliability, performance, and user experience. Additionally, you will contribute to fostering a culture of technical excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the engineering team.
