Job Description

Who you are

You have an Associate's degree, trade school certification, or equivalent practical experience in a related technical field. With at least 2 years of Mechanical/HVAC experience in an industrial or commercial environment, you are familiar with the challenges of maintaining complex systems. You are capable of participating in material handling tasks, including lifting and moving equipment, and you understand the importance of using OSHA standard safety equipment. Your ability to work non-standard hours and shifts demonstrates your flexibility and commitment to the role.

You have a preferred background of 2 years in the maintenance of mechanical or cooling distribution systems, ideally within data centers, hospitals, or power plants. Your knowledge of mechanical systems used in a data center environment, such as chillers, air handling units, pumps, and CRAC/CRAH units, sets you apart. Your responsibilities will include managing the uptime and maintenance of water pumps and treatment systems, HVAC, and control and monitoring systems. You will respond to abnormal conditions in the data center facilities systems and equipment, ensuring that all systems are functioning optimally. You will also support the startup, commissioning, and integration of new mechanical equipment and systems into the facilities infrastructure.

Your role will require you to assess the working order of various systems, including heating and cooling of air and water, power supply, generators, and UPS systems.
