SpaceX is hiring a Development Test Technician for their Starbase team to support testing operations and equipment fabrication. You'll work with mechanical and fluid assemblies, requiring skills in mechanical and electrical disciplines.

Job Description

Who you are

You are a highly skilled technician with a strong background in mechanical and electrical disciplines. You thrive in hands-on environments and are flexible, quick to learn, and possess a can-do attitude. You have experience building, modifying, and troubleshooting test equipment, including fluid systems and mechanical assemblies. You are comfortable working with instrumentation and wiring issues, and you have a solid understanding of hydraulic systems, including pumps and actuators. You enjoy collaborating with engineers and other technicians to achieve common goals and are eager to contribute to innovative projects that push the boundaries of technology.

What you'll do

As a Development Test Technician, you will be responsible for a wide variety of test operations and equipment fabrication work. You will build, modify, and troubleshoot new or existing test equipment, which includes high-pressure fluid panels and hydraulic manifolds. Your role will involve installing instrumentation, building and routing harnessing, and troubleshooting any instrumentation and wiring issues that arise. You will also assemble, modify, and inspect test articles, ensuring they meet the required specifications. Your work will directly support the testing operations of the Starbase Structures team, contributing to the development of technologies that aim to enable human life on Mars.
