Job Description

The Analytics Team supporting the Programmatic Solutions Consulting (PSC) organization seeks a Business Intelligence Engineer to join our team in New York City. This role will focus on the design, development, and management of analytical tools and reporting as an end-to-end owner. These solutions will help accelerate our efforts to optimize the efficiency and effectiveness of our partner teams who service our advertising customers. We produce analyses and reporting to surface opportunities to engage with customers, track those engagements, measure the impact, and share actionable insights with senior leaders to inform business decisions and programs. PSC leadership, regional and country managers, Program Managers, and partner teams, such as Finance and Product, will serve as your main customers.

Key job responsibilities
• Design and develop automated, user-friendly measurement pipelines, reports, and dashboards to support internal partners.
• Recommend new metrics, techniques, and strategies to enhance customer experience.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather data requirements.
• Enable data-driven decision-making by retrieving and aggregating data from multiple sources, presenting it in a clear and actionable format.
• Work with engineering and product teams to identify product gaps and trends.
• Manage the request intake process, prioritizing tasks in partnership with stakeholders.
• Own the design, development, and maintenance of ongoing metrics, reports, analyses, and dashboards to inform key business decisions.
• Participate in strategic and tactical planning discussions.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts to translate business requirements into technical specifications.


About the team
Amazon Advertising is dedicated to driving measurable outcomes for brand advertisers, agencies, authors, and entrepreneurs. Our ad solutions - including sponsored, display, video, and custom ads - leverage Amazon’s innovations and insights to find, attract, and engage intended audiences throughout their daily journeys. With a range of flexible pricing and buying models, including self-service, managed service, and programmatic ad buying, these solutions help businesses build brand awareness, increase product sales, and more. Within Amazon Advertising, the Ad Tech Sales and Services team focuses on developing strategic partnerships across advertising agencies and direct clients.- Bachelor's degree or above in math/statistics/engineering or other equivalent quantitative discipline
- 5+ years of business intelligence and analytics experience
- Experience managing, analyzing and communicating results to senior leadership
- Experience with reporting and Data Visualization tools such as Quick Sight / Tableau / Power BI or other BI packages
- Experience with Agile or other program management methodologies
- Experience communicating across technical and non-technical audiences, including executive level stakeholders or clients
- Experience working with very large data warehousing environment
- Experience in technical writing in a relevant field
- Advanced SQL Proficiency
- Experience supporting customer-facing organizations such as sales, account management, technical services, etc.- Experience with scripting language (e.g., Python, Java, or R)
- Experience in Amazon Redshift and other AWS technologies
- Experience in AdTech or a demonstrated knowledge of programmatic advertising and the digital advertising ecosystem

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $89,600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
