Job Description

Here's the paragraph-style version:

The High Performance Computing (HPC) team at AWS is seeking an exceptional Senior Product Manager - Technical (External Services) to drive the development of our HPC portfolio, including AWS Batch, AWS Parallel Computing Service, AWS ParallelCluster, and AWS Research and Engineering Studio. In this role, you will lead product development from strategy and vision through feature definition, prioritization, positioning, naming, and go-to-market strategies. Working closely with cross-functional teams across compute, storage, networking, monitoring, and observability services, you will create seamless experiences for our HPC customers. We seek an experienced product manager who can translate complex customer needs into innovative, disruptive products that exceed expectations, using data-driven insights to simplify and enhance the customer experience.

As a Senior Product Manager in this high-visibility, high-impact role, you will interact with all levels of AWS leadership. Our ideal candidate is passionate about solving customer problems and cloud computing, with a proven track record of working backwards from ambiguous customer needs. You should possess strong technical and business acumen, excellent communication skills, and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Our team is committed to supporting new members through a culture that celebrates knowledge sharing and mentorship. With our diverse mix of experience levels and tenures, we provide an environment where senior members engage in one-on-one mentoring and thoughtful code reviews. We prioritize career growth and skill development, assigning projects that help team members evolve into well-rounded professionals capable of tackling increasingly complex challenges.

Work-life balance is fundamental to our team's philosophy. We understand that success and happiness stem from maintaining a healthy balance between personal and professional life. Rather than focusing on hours spent at work, we offer flexible scheduling options that enable team members to be more productive and maintain well-rounded lives both in and outside of work.

At AWS, diversity and inclusion are core to our culture. We actively support ten employee-led affinity groups reaching 40,000 employees across 190 global chapters. Our commitment to inclusion is demonstrated through innovative benefits, ongoing learning experiences, and annual diversity conferences such as Conversations on Race and Ethnicity (CORE) and AmazeCon (gender diversity). These values are reinforced by our 14 Leadership Principles, which emphasize seeking diverse perspectives, continuous learning, and building trust. Join us in shaping the future of cloud computing and HPC in an environment that values innovation, growth, and inclusive excellence.
