Backend Engineer - Assistance

Who you are

You have experience in developing software using a JVM language and Spring Boot in large-scale production systems — your background equips you to handle the complexities of modern banking applications. A sound understanding of microservice architecture is essential, as you will be working within a team that values knowledge sharing and collaboration. You appreciate the importance of security in banking and are motivated to write code that is well-tested and well-documented. Your ability to give and receive open, direct, and timely feedback will contribute to a thriving team environment.

Desirable

Experience with Kotlin would be a plus, as it aligns with our technology stack. Familiarity with both relational and non-relational databases, preferably Postgres, will enhance your contributions to our projects. An appreciation for working in a modern cloud architecture, particularly with AWS, is also beneficial.

What you'll do

In this role, you will engage in discovery, design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance of software solutions that support our Banking Foundations mission. You will manage individual project priorities and deliverables while collaborating with your team to ensure efficient operations. Staying up to date with the latest trends in technology is crucial, as you will be expected to propose new findings during our Get Stuff Done Days (GSDD). Your contributions will help N26 achieve sustainable growth while maintaining the highest levels of trust with our customers and regulators.
