Senior Backend Engineer - Developer Productivity

Who you are

You have 5+ years of backend engineering experience, particularly in building production systems that scale effectively. You've owned services from design through deployment and have navigated the complexities of debugging distributed systems. Your expertise in Java and Spring is deep — you've shipped high-throughput APIs that handle significant traffic and have strong opinions on service architecture and testing strategies. You understand the importance of developer productivity and are passionate about creating tools that empower engineers to work more efficiently. You thrive in collaborative environments and enjoy working closely with cross-functional teams to identify pain points and implement solutions. You are adaptable and open to learning new technologies as needed to enhance your contributions.

Desirable

Experience with Docker and cloud services is a plus, as is familiarity with CI/CD practices. What you'll do

You will also be involved in the testing and deployment processes, ensuring that the tools you develop integrate seamlessly into the existing workflows. As you lead these initiatives, you will have the opportunity to mentor junior engineers and share your knowledge of best practices in backend development.
