Affirm is seeking a Data Analyst II for their Trust and Safety Analytics team to optimize fraud prevention strategies and enhance user experience. You'll work with SQL and machine learning to analyze data and develop insights. This role requires experience in data analysis and collaboration with cross-functional teams.
You have a strong background in data analysis, with experience in identifying customer pain points and optimizing strategies to improve user conversion rates. Your analytical skills allow you to translate complex data trends into actionable recommendations that enhance business logic and decision-making processes. You are comfortable working with cross-functional teams, including Product, Engineering, and Compliance, to ensure that your insights align with broader company goals.
You possess a solid understanding of machine learning principles and have experience developing scalable frameworks for managing fraud detection models. Your ability to evaluate innovative data sources and collaborate with data engineering teams is crucial for solving complex fraud risks. You are detail-oriented and proactive in exploring data to identify opportunities that can accelerate product development and improve existing products.
Experience with data visualization tools and reporting dashboards is a plus, as is familiarity with compliance regulations related to fraud prevention. You are eager to stay updated on industry trends and best practices in data analysis and fraud prevention strategies.
In this role, you will proactively explore data to identify opportunities that can help accelerate product development within the Trust and Safety team. You will drive the analytical work of online experiments aimed at optimizing existing strategies to achieve better conversion rates. Your responsibilities will include translating analysis and trends into recommendations that improve identity verification and fraud conversion rates.
You will develop scalable frameworks to manage tiered cutoffs for proprietary fraud machine learning models, ensuring that the decisioning system remains robust and effective. Additionally, you will evaluate innovative data sources to address fraud risks and partner with the data engineering team to maintain and enhance the data infrastructure.
Your role will also involve owning data models and reporting dashboards, allowing you to present insights and recommendations to stakeholders effectively. You will continuously monitor and analyze data to identify new risk differentiators and remediate vulnerabilities in the decisioning system, contributing to a safer platform for users.
