Xometry is hiring a Project Engineer to evaluate manufacturability of customer designs and recommend solutions. You'll work with various industries including aerospace and automotive, utilizing your expertise in manufacturing engineering.
You have a Bachelor of Science Degree in Manufacturing Engineering or a related technical field, and you bring 2-4 years of experience in an engineering and manufacturing environment. With 1-2 years specifically focused on manufacturing engineering, particularly in CNC machining, you possess the skills necessary to evaluate designs and recommend effective solutions. Your ability to communicate effectively with customers and internal teams is crucial, as you will be interfacing with machine shops and fabrication shops to ensure successful order execution.
Experience in industries such as aerospace, defense, and medical devices is a plus, as is familiarity with various manufacturing technologies. You are detail-oriented and have a strong understanding of manufacturability principles, which allows you to provide valuable insights to customers and colleagues alike.
As a Project Engineer at Xometry, you will be responsible for developing and implementing sourcing strategies that align with customer needs. Once an order is placed, you will assist production teams in troubleshooting and ensuring that customer expectations are met. Your role will involve direct interaction with machine shops and internal staff to facilitate smooth order execution.
