You have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience, along with 18 years of experience in Government Affairs and Public Policy. Your background includes leading teams of professionals and a deep understanding of the Government Affairs and Public Policy landscape in Asia markets. You possess excellent political, problem-solving, and organizational skills, complemented by strong written and verbal communication abilities. Your familiarity with internet technologies and the policy and political environments surrounding them allows you to navigate complex regulatory issues effectively.
You thrive in fast-moving environments and can quickly get up to speed on intricate technical and regulatory matters. Your public-speaking experience and passion for internet policy issues make you an effective advocate for the company’s interests. You are committed to fostering a user-focused online environment and an open Internet, and you understand the importance of collaboration with diverse stakeholders.
As a Senior Director in Google’s Government Affairs and Public Policy team, you will lead and empower the team supporting Southeast Asia, including Indonesia, South Asia Frontier, and Taiwan. Your role involves engaging with executive branch officials, legislators, regulators, and third-party organizations to shape public policy that aligns with the company’s objectives. You will work closely with Google leaders to identify key policy issues and distill the company’s perspective on these matters for external stakeholders.
You will manage various campaigns and projects, ensuring timely internal communications and information flow between local teams and global colleagues. Your leadership will be crucial in navigating the intersection of public policy, business, and technology, as you advocate for policies that support the company’s mission and values.
