Amazon is hiring a Mechatronics & Robotics Technician to support the Operations Maintenance team in repairing and maintaining material handling equipment. You'll work with automated packaging and distribution equipment in Perrysburg, Ohio.
You are a Mechatronics & Robotics Technician with a strong foundation in repairing and maintaining material handling equipment and pneumatic systems. You have experience with automated packaging and distribution equipment, and you are eager to develop your skills further while mentoring junior technicians. Your background includes knowledge of Arduino and AutoCAD, and you are comfortable working in a Linux environment. You understand the importance of reliability in operations and are committed to ensuring that equipment runs smoothly to meet customer demands.
Experience with embedded Linux systems and mechanical engineering principles is a plus. You are proactive in identifying issues and have a knack for troubleshooting complex systems. You thrive in a collaborative environment and enjoy sharing your knowledge with others.
In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of automated packaging and distribution equipment. You will work closely with the Operations Maintenance team to ensure that all material handling equipment is functioning optimally. Your day-to-day tasks will include diagnosing equipment failures, performing routine maintenance, and implementing improvements to enhance reliability. You will also have the opportunity to mentor junior technicians, helping them grow in their roles and develop their technical skills.
